
PRESENTATION GUIDELINES
Oral Presentation
Please note the following requirements for the preparation of your oral presentation:

Presentations are limited to 12-15 minutes (exact time length to TBD after Call for Abstracts close).

Delegates are to bring their PowerPoint slide deck on a USB drive and upload prior to scheduled oral presentation.

We recognise diverse ways of knowing and presenting. Storytelling, collective voice, cultural protocols, and other Indigenous approaches are welcomed as valid scholarly and professional contributions. Presenters may use narrative, visual, dialogic, or culturally grounded formats to share their work, provided key elements are addressed.

For academics, presentations will include the following sections: background / literature, rationale, methodology, results / findings, discussion, implications for industry or practice (if applicable), and conclusion.

For practitioners, presentations will include the following sections: background, rationale, findings / learnings, implications for industry or practice, and conclusion.

Rapid Communication
Please note the following requirements for the preparation of your rapid communication:

A single static PowerPoint slide is permitted. No slide transitions, animations or 'movement' of any description are allowed. The slide is to be displayed from the beginning of the oration.

No additional electronic media (e.g. sound and video files) are permitted.

No additional props (e.g. costumes, musical instruments, laboratory equipment) are permitted.

Presentations are limited to 2 minutes maximum.

Presentations are to be spoken word (e.g. no poems, raps or songs).

Presentations are to commence from the stage.

Presentations are considered to have commenced when a presenter starts their presentation through either movement or speech.
Scientific Poster (Printed)
Please note the following requirements for the preparation of your scientific poster:

Title: choose the title of your article so that it is short, draws interest, and is understandable to a wide range of audiences.

Clarity: include content in a simple and clear way, text should be short and concise.

Format: Use tables, graphs, and pictures in your poster to facilitate faster information transfer to the audience.
