The NYSC2026 Scientific Committee will be presenting some prestigious awards for the best oral presentations by an early career researcher and by a young scholar, the best rapid communication, and the best scientific poster.

YOUNG SCHOLAR
AWARD
The Young Scholar Award is bestowed to a PhD, Masters, or Honours student ‘in recognition of their excellent research contribution to and impact on the field of youth sport'.The Award is open to all who are currently enrolled in a PhD, Masters, or Honours research program, and PhD students who have not yet been conferred.
Abstracts and presented papers will be judged by the scientific committee and ratified by the conference program committee against the following criteria:

EARLY CAREER RESEARCHER AWARD
The Early Career Researcher (ECR) Award is bestowed to a scholar ‘in recognition of their excellent research contribution to and impact on the field of youth sport'. The Award is open to all who have received a PhD within the previous five (5) years of the Award year (i.e., for 2026, an individual would have had to receive their PhD between January 2021 and December 2026).
Abstracts and presented papers will be judged by the scientific committee and ratified by the conference program committee against the following criteria:

The Rapid Communication Award is bestowed to a presenter ‘in recognition of their excellent research presentation in the field of youth sport'. The Award is open to presenters at NYSC2026 in the rapid communication category.
